A delegation from Türkiye's energy ministry will soon visit Syria to address electricity and energy challenges, Alparslan Bayraktar, Türkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after a cabinet meeting in the Turkish capital Ankara, Bayraktar highlighted the delegation's aim to evaluate the current state of energy infrastructure and discuss opportunities for cooperation and assistance.
'The primary issue in the country is electricity. A formula will be devised to ensure its supply,' Bayraktar said.
- Electricity supply to Lebanon
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati also said his country struggles with electricity shortages.
'In the upcoming period, we also might be able to provide electricity to Lebanon,' Bayraktar said.
