Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.2% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,138,218 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,360 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,469 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,144,421 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of about 0.3% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 25.6% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 21.2% and 12.4%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,434 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 7,225 megawatt-hours.
