Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 3.7% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,187,001 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 56,330 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,254 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,192,560 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about %3.7 compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 29% of total generation, while imported coal and run-of-river hydroelectric plants contributed 20.4% and 17.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 15,022 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 9,540 megawatt-hours.
