Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 3.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,095,170 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,881 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,673 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,110,041 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 4% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 23.3% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.5% and 12.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 17,296 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,427 megawatt-hours.
