Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 4.1% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,026,860 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,828 megawatt-hours at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,578 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,038,703 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of 3.9% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from natural gas accounted for around 23.6% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 22.1% and 17.9%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 12,649 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 812 megawatt-hours.
