Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 2% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,111,306 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,969 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,058 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,125,543 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of about 2% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 28.7% of total generation, while imported coal and wind contributed 20.2% and 15%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 16,167 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,933 megawatt-hours.
