Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 9.9% on Thursday, compared to the previous day, totaling 905,678 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,097 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,550 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 908,330 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 10% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 18.7 of total generation, while hydroelectricity and natural gas plants contributed 16.5% and 15.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,000 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 4,348 megawatt-hours.
