Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 5% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,127,974 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,593 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,285 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,144,618 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of about 4.8% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 21.1% of total generation, while imported natural gas and wind plants contributed 21% and 18.4%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 22,294 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,653 megawatt-hours.
