Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 1.23% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,161,387 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,351 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,060 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,177,000 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a drop of about 1.36% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 24.6% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20.4% and 14.9%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 21,549 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,936 megawatt-hours.
