Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 2% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,135,917 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,108 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,712 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,154,041 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 2% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 25.8% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 20.3% and 12.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 21,570 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,493 megawatt-hours.
