Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.8% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,147,581 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,104 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,184 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,159,978 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 1.9% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 30.2% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.8% and 15%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 14,753 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,364 megawatt-hours.
