Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 1.24% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 900,629 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,769 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,400 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 899,021 megawatt-hours on Friday, which fell 0.78% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 18.45% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants contributed 17.42% and imported coal plants 13.48%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 5,524 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 7,133 megawatt-hours.
