Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.9% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,127,691 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,118 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 36,790 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,133,164 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decline of 0.9% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind plants contributed 20.5% and 15%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,683 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 7,797 megawatt-hours.
