Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.61% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 997,513 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,628 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,577 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,011,671 megawatt-hours on Thursday marking an decrease of 0.75% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 35.2% of total generation, while imported coal and lignite plants contributed 22.5% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 16,631 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 2,473 megawatt-hours.
