Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.52% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 935,214 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,103 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,290 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 935,634 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.88% increase compared to Monday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.6% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 21.2% while wind plants comprised 16.4%.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,751 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,660 megawatt-hours.
