Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 3.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 922,150 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,188 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,111 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 919,801 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 3.5% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 25.8% of total generation, while natural gas and lignite plants contributed 20% and 13%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,040 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 10,392 megawatt-hours.
