Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 1.6% on Tuesday, compared to the previous day, totaling 1,015,859 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,575 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,281 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,029,759 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 1.6% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.7% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 23.6% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,912 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,036 megawatt-hours.
