Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.15% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,151,372 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,208 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,572 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,156,402 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 0.19% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from wind power plants accounted for around 22.1% of total generation, while dam-based hydroelectricity plants and imported coal plants contributed 18.7% and 16.6%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,785 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,894 megawatt-hours.
