German wind turbine maker Nordex Group has secured an order from Türkerler Holding to supply and install 72 turbines with a combined capacity of about 525 megawatts in Türkiye, the company said on Thursday.
The order covers N175/6.X turbines and includes a 10-year service agreement, with an option to extend it to 25 years.
The turbines will be installed at the YEKA-5 R25 Sivas wind project in central Türkiye. Installation of the first unit is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
Nordex said the project site's strong and consistent winds made it well suited to the N175/6.X model. The turbines, part of the company’s Delta4000 series, will have a hub height of 108 meters.
The company said the deal would strengthen its presence in Türkiye, where it has a cumulative share of 34% of the wind turbine market.
Ender Ozatay, Nordex Group's vice president for Türkiye and the Middle East, said the order was the largest single turbine deal in Türkiye's wind energy market.
"We are delighted to support Türkerler Holding's ambitious growth in renewable energy," Ozatay said.
