Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 0.4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 945,870 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,062 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,202 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 941,546 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 0.3% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 19.9% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 17.4% and 15.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,180 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 11,504 megawatt-hours.
