Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 1.5% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,003,040 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,529 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,427 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 996,731 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of about 1.8% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 23.3% of total generation, while wind plants and natural gas plants contributed 21.2% and 17.5%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 5,826 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 12,152 megawatt-hours.
