Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased around 0.4% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 910,111 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,183 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,398 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 911,820 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of about 0.05% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for around 27.2% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 24% and 13.1%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,327 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,677 megawatt-hours.
