Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 914,305 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,648 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,967 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 912,318 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 0.9% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for around 24% of total generation, while natural gas and solar plants contributed 23.9% and 12.8%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,590 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 8,623 megawatt-hours.
