Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.3% to 660,414 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 31,466 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 23,081 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 661,948 megawatt-hours on Tuesday with a 0.6% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 201,366 megawatt-hours. Wind and run-of-river hydroelectricity plants followed with 126,709 megawatt-hours and 111,136 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,373 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,839 megawatt-hours.
