Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume in Thursday's electricity market set a record high of 175.44 million liras, according to official figures on Thursday.
The trade volume on the electricity market on Thursday showed an increase of 7.33% compared to Wednesday.
The previous high trade volume record in the day-ahead spot market was set on Feb. 7 this year with 172.4 million liras
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt-hour in the day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 330.64 Turkish liras at 15.00 local time and the lowest will be 293 liras at 06.00 local time.
The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity for the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 316.61 liras and 317.678 liras, respectively.
The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market on Thursday was set as 321.50 liras at 14.00 local time and the lowest at 199.33 liras at 03.00 and 06.00 local times.
US$1 equals 6.85 Turkish liras at 1208 GMT on Thursday.
