Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.03% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 997,960 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,040 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,640 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 985,554 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 0.01% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 22.3% of total generation, while wind power and natural gas plants 15.74% and 15.73.%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,620 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 19,069 megawatt-hours.
