Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 5.3% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 927,584 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,991 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,379 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 930,950 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a drop of 5.5% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.8% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants contributed 19.5% and 15.7%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,721 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 3,357 megawatt-hours.
