Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.90% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,068,861 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,233 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 35,732 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,078,998 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.89% increase from Tuesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 37.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 17.7% while hydroelectricity plants comprised 11.2%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,056 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 4,187 megawatt-hours.
