Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 3.18% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 841,480 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 39,173 megawatt-hours at 10.00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,448 megawatt-hours at 07.00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 832,408 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a decrease of 3.23% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 19.6% of total generation, while wind plants and hydro power plants contributed 19.3% and 18.5%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,894 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 20,966 megawatt-hours.
