Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.94% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 884,694 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 18.00 local time, reaching 42,669 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,622 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 884,694 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.94% increase compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 30.88% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 20.88% share while wind plants comprised 15.34%.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,131 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 217 megawatt-hours.
