Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.5% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,230,539 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 58,074 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 40,906 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,234,683 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a drop of about %0.6 compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 31.2% of total generation, while imported coal and run-of-river hydroelectric plants contributed 19.6% and 15.6%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,740 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 9,632 megawatt-hours.
