Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 4.5% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,044,088 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,163 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,834 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,053,632 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a fall of about 4.6% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 22.2% of total generation, while wind energy and natural gas plants contributed 17.4% and 17%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,694 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,150 megawatt-hours.
