Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.09% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 909,341 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 44,272 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,407 megawatt-hours at 04.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 923,620 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.13% increase from Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.1% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 20.94%, while imported coal power plants held a 15.09% share.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,901 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,032 megawatt-hours.
