Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.04% to 899,153 megawatt-hours on Friday according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 41,185 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,096 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.
Electricity production totaled 900,958 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.2% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants at 213,176 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and hydroelectricity plants followed with 205,361 megawatt-hours and 182,128 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,320 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 2,515 megawatt-hours.
