Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased on Friday by 0.35% compared to the previous day to reach 922,912 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 17.00 local time with 42,663 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 32,231 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 924,326 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.52% decrease compared to the previous day.
While electricity production from natural gas constituted 27.73% of total electricity consumption in Turkey on Friday, imported coal plants held a 22.25% share while hydroelectricity power plants comprised 17.81%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 4,011 megawatt-hours while imports reached 2,598 megawatt-hours.
