Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 11.6% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,011,918 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,328 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,732 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,013,313 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of about 11.4% compared to Sunday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 23.1% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 19.2% and 14.9%, respectively.
On Monday's, the country's electricity exports totaled 13,941 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 12,565 megawatt-hours.
