The daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.63% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,086,728 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,986 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 35,549 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production reached 1,074,897 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.45% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.2% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectric plants contributed 22.1% and 16.4%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,267 megawatt-hours and its imports totaled 18,098 megawatt-hours.
