Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.5% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 893,528 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,192 megawatt-hours at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,689 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT)
Electricity production amounted to 901,219 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 0.41% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.3% of total generation, while wind and lignite plants contributed 22.8% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,547 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 5,895 megawatt-hours.
