Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye increased by 0.22% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 889,892 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,275 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,733 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 892,133 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking an increase of 0.25% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from hydropower plants constituted 21.1% of total generation, while natural plants and run-of-the-river plants contributed 17.7% and 14.8%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,211 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,012 megawatt-hours.
