Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,149,561 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 56,008 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,186 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,147,821 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.01% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 28% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 20.1% and 14.4%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,319 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 15,984 megawatt-hours.
