Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 2.7% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,194,214 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 56,844 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,564 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,216,960 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 2.8% compared to the previous day.
Production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 19.8% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar power plants contributed 19.7% and 15%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 24,480 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,824 megawatt-hours.
