Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.74% on Wednesday compared to the previous day to reach 903,869 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 43,219 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,622 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 909,709 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a 0.77% decrease from Tuesday.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.5% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 20.7%, while lignite plants held a 12.5% share.
On Wednesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,876 megawatt-hours, while imports total 1,576 megawatt-hours.
