Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,093,622 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,724 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,237 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,095,384 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 1.5% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.9% of total generation, while imported coal and hydropower plants contributed 22% and 13.7%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,703 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,800 megawatt-hours.
