Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 2.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,068,283 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,624megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,800megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,081,891 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 2.5% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 36.6% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 22.4% and 11.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,130 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 579 megawatt-hours.
