Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 13,1% to 601,452 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 30,171 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 20,595 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.
Total electricity production reached 608,885 megawatt-hours on Thursday with a 12,3% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 178,952 megawatt-hours. Imported wind plants and Run-of-river plants followed with 111,893 megawatt-hours and 111,882 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,564 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 1,131 megawatt-hours.
