Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.89% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 832,230 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 38,921 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,464 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 831,013 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4.03% decrease compared to Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 45.2% of total electricity consumption and imported coal plants contributed 13.3% while lignite plants comprised 13.1%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 13,862 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 15,189 megawatt-hours.
