Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.77% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 787,343 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 38,123 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,890 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 798,461 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.70% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 35.14% of total electricity consumption on Friday, imported coal plants held a 22.93% share while hydropower plants comprised 15.27%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 11,750 megawatt-hours while imports reached 632 megawatt-hours.
