Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.80% to 812,106 megawatt-hours on Friday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 38,003 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,102 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 810,834 megawatt-hours on Friday with a 1.01% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from hydroelectricity plants at 206,416 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and natural gas plants followed with 196,960 megawatt-hours and 112,328 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 5,823 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 7,095 megawatt-hours.
