Turkiye's daily electricity consumption decreased by 1.03% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 985,771 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,016 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,904 megawatt-hours at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 984,457 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.05% decrease compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 31.6% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.2% while lignite plants comprised 14.9%.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 17,397 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 18,825 megawatt-hours.
