Turkiye's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.42% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 938,626 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,580 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,379 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 939,330 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.49% decrease compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 33.4% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.4% while lignite plants comprised 13.2%.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,165 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 13,734 megawatt-hours.
